Keeping Anecdotal Records
I’ll admit: I have not always been a journaler. (Is that a real word?) I am referring to someone who keeps a journal on a regular basis. I tend to be more of a spontaneous journal keeper. However, in the past few years, I have seen the benefits of consistent journaling when it comes to something I want to observe progress (or regression) in regards to.
Sports, fitness, food journeys, mental health and more are all helpful topics to journal about. You don’t have to write pages and pages of updates each day for a journal to be a helpful tool. Simply jotting down a few key details as needed makes a useful anecdotal record. You can look back on the records and see progress, patterns, regression, achievements and more.
Horseback riding and working with horses in general make great topics for an anecdotal journal.
