I have gifted subscription boxes to my kids before and they are always a huge hit. Part of the fun of receiving a box is the mystery of what might be inside. Another plus to these boxes is that mail is fun to receive! These boxes can usually be ordered monthly or some other variation in frequency (every 3 months, every 6 months, etc).
Last year we posted a Saddlebox review. We enjoyed that box and decided to try another horse themed subscription box company.
Pony Xpress Club Subscription Box
We looked through various box options to try and for this round, we settled on a box from Pony Xpress Club.
Pony Xpress Club offers horse themed boxes. You can sign up for 1 month, 3 months or 6 months at a time. Your subscription will auto-renew at the end of your commitment period but you are free to cancel at any time.
You can cancel Pony Xpress Club by emailing their customer service.
Box Size Options
Pony Xpress Club offers 3 box types.
- Horse Size: Price is $59.95 per month and each box contains 5-8 full-size horse themed items
- Pony Size: Price is $39.95 per month and each box contains 3-5 full-size horse themed items
- Saddle Bag Book Club: Price is $19.95 per month and includes horse themed books (Website does not say how many books are included each month, so I am guessing it can vary.)
What Was Inside Our Pony Xpress Box?
We received the smaller, pony sized, box. We had zero expectations and hoped that there would be some fun items inside. This box did NOT disappoint. It was great! We loved the items inside and were thrilled to receive so many pieces. Our box had 6 different things (actually 8 if you count actual objects and not just like-items).

Final Thoughts
We ordered the Pony Xpress Club box with zero expectations. We were honestly thrilled with the box’s contents! It was a fun mix of items and things that we will actually use.
Value: I do think this box was a very good value. At $39.95, the box contained items that were worth this much or more. A quick look online at the book, toy horse and socks already had my total at about $30. I doubt the coin purse, nail art and magnets are valued at less than $10 together, making the box a good value!
Pony Xpress Club boxes ship out during the third week of every month. So we ordered our box at the end of July and it shipped during the 3rd week in August. This was close to a month to wait for our box, but we knew what we were getting into thanks to the info on their site, so it wasn’t a big deal.
My daughter is 13 and she was delighted with each item that she pulled out of the box. She loved that the smaller box contained more items than advertised and she proclaimed that it was, “AN AWESOME BOX” and “TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY.”
So there you have it! We really enjoyed this box and would recommend it to others.
