Instructions:
Step 1: Template Time
Print out the provided template and trace it onto your construction paper. Cut out the horse shapes, tracing and cutting as many as you want, depending on how long you want your garland to be.

Step 2: Crafting the Horseshoes
For a little touch of good luck, add some horseshoes to your garland. Cut a square from your paper, fold it, and then cut out an L-shape. Trace this shape onto other papers to create a uniform look.

Step 3: Punch It
Punch a hole in your templates. This is where your yarn will thread through, so make sure it’s big enough for easy threading but not so large that the pieces slip off.

Step 4: String It Together
Now, bring all your pieces to life by assembling them on the yarn. Arrange them in any pattern you’d like, mixing and matching colors as you go. This is where your creativity really shines, so have fun with it!

Bringing It All Together:
Once you’ve strung all your pieces, find the perfect spot to display your handiwork. Whether it’s across a window, along a wall, or even draped around a bookshelf, this garland is sure to add a fun bit of decor to any space.
This DIY horse-themed paper garland is a great and simple project that encourages kids to develop their fine motor skills and explore their artistic side. Plus, it’s a wonderful way to create some really fun decorations for your home, barn or maybe even a party.
