  • Cardboard: Provides a sturdy backing for the ornament.
  • Scissors: For cutting out the template and yarn.
  • Glue stick or liquid glue: Keeps everything securely attached.
  • Yarn: To create the perfect tail. (Use any color you’d like.)
  • Single hole puncher: For adding a hanging loop.
  • Pom pom ball: Ties it all together as a cute finishing touch.
  • Marker: To draw the outline of the horse’s body.

Instructions:

  1. Print & Trace: Start by drawing and cutting the horse butt template on a piece of paper. Once you’ve got your template, trace it onto the cardboard to give your ornament a strong base. Then trace the same shape onto your brown construction paper and glue it on top of the cardboard cutout.

  2. Add the Loop & Tail: Punch a hole at the top of your cardboard cutout with the hole puncher. Thread a loop of yarn through the hole for hanging. Afterward, cut several pieces of yarn, bunch and tie them together at one end. Tie the bunch of yarn onto the loop of yarn.

  3. Add a loop for hanging: Glue or tape a loop of yarn to the back of the ornament for easy display.

  4. Tie the Bow: Using the blue ribbon, tie a cute bow and glue it just above the yarn tail, giving your horse’s rear some pretty color!
